The Greatest Treasure: Learn English (US) with subtitles - Story for Children "BookBox.com"

05:47
Peter has set out on a treasure hunt. Will you care to join him? The Greatest Treasure By Amit Garg One day, Peter found a treasure map. "Hurray! I’m going to find this treasure and have some adventure!" he exclaimed. Peter set off. He walked a long way and finally reached a forest. There he met Lion. "You are strong and courageous," said Peter to Lion. "Will you come with me on a treasure hunt?" Lion agreed and joined Peter. The forest was dense and dark. Peter was afraid, but with Lion by his side, he made it through. When the two finally reached the mountain, they met Eagle. "You have excellent vision and can alert us to dangers," said Peter to Eagle. "Will you come with us? We’re looking for a treasure!" Eagle agreed and joined Peter and Lion. The mountains were tall and craggy. Lion slipped, but Peter was swift enough to give him a hand and pull him up. Eagle, with his sharp vision, watched every step they took. Soon, they reached the valley below where they met Sheep. "Will you join us in our search for a treasure?" Peter asked Sheep. “And keep us warm when it’s cold?" Sheep agreed and joined Peter, Lion and Eagle. A cold wind swept across the endless meadow. They all huddled against Sheep, who kept them warm and cozy. The four finally reached the desert, where they met Camel. “You are called the ship of the desert,” said Peter to Camel. “Will you help us get across and join the treasure hunt too?” Camel agreed. Peter, Lion and Sheep mounted the camel and set off happily across the vast desert, with Eagle enjoying the spectacle from above. Camel began galloping and everybody cheered with excitement. Crossing the desert on Camel’s back was thrilling! The five finally reached the ocean, where they met Turtle. “Can you help us cross the ocean?” Peter asked Turtle. “We are on a treasure hunt.” Turtle agreed and joined Peter, Lion, Eagle, Sheep and Camel. The rough waves almost drowned the party, but Turtle skillfully transported them across. They met Owl on the other side. Owl spoke from his ancient wisdom: “Congratulations, you have found the treasure.” “Where is it?” they all exclaimed in surprise. “Together you have passed the forest, climbed the mountains, dared the valley, braved the desert, and crossed the ocean. You would never have done it without one another.” They all looked at each other and realized that Owl was right – they had found friendship! Indeed, they had found the greatest treasure ever! 15 Magical Places in America

10:35
The United States of America are home to countless beautiful landscapes and natural wonders so it’s hard and almost unfair to choose only 15 Magical Places. Nevertheless, we decided to put together a completely subjective list of places that left us completely speechless. Life is short, so make sure to include one of this beauties in your next trip. Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv #5 Northern Lights, Alaska The best place on Earth to experience the magnificence of the northern lights is definitely Alaska. Head to Fairbanks between late August and April, sit back in a heated "aurorium" cabin or simply walk outside and look up to the sky. Aurora borealis or The Northern Lights are the results of collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun’s atmosphere and gaseous particles from Earth's atmosphere. They occur 60 miles above the Earth, making a colorful display of brilliant yellow-green and sometimes even red- purple patterns. #4 The Wave, Arizona The Wave is a sandstone formation located in Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. In order to maintain the natural integrity only 20 people per day are allowed to visit The Wave. For that, you will need a day-use permit that you have to get up to 4 months in advance in an on- line lottery, or by lottery the day before visiting. There are no marked trails or signs to guide hikers that have to be prepared also for fierce winds, harsh desert conditions and blowing sand. You ask: Is all that hassle worth it? Definitely yes. Here you can create the most wonderful Instagram- worthy photos that need no filter. #3 Dry Tortugas National Park, Florida Florida is without a doubt one of the most beautiful US states. Here in the Sunshine State, you have The Dry Tortugas National Park, located only 68 miles west of Key West. You can get there by ferry or seaplane from Key West. The park consists of small archipelago of seven coral islands and Fort Jefferson, a massive yet unfinished fortress made from 16 million bricks. Here you can find abundant sea life, coral reefs, and sunken treasures. #2 Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park The sacred place for Hawaiians is also the most active volcano on Earth. The Kilauea volcano is sometimes called, "the world's only drive-in volcano." It produces 250,000-650,000 cubic yards of lava on daily basis ever since January 3rd, 1983. You can take a hike through volcanic craters and watch blistering lava flows meet the sea. #1 Maroon Bells, Colorado Just 10 miles from Aspen, Colorado you have the most photographed mountains in the USA. Unmatched mountain scenery created by two peaks in the Elk Mountains called the Maroon Bells and the reflective lake. It took more than 300 million years of sedimentation and erosion to create the Maroon Valley, a natural wonder that truly encapsulates the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

25 Things That Visitors Will Find Most Surprising About The United States

07:21
The United States is a very misunderstood country. In fact, almost everybody in the world has a different point of view concerning what it should/could be and the media never helps. As big as it is, generalizations are very hard to make. Every state is different. Actually, every state even has its own military! To understand why America is what it is you need to go back to its roots. It was built by people trying to escape government. It was built with a wild west, this-land-is-mine mentality. It’s a no-government-can-tell-me-what-to-do mentality. It’s survival of the fittest and this mentality survives until today. For better or for worse these are 25 things that visitors will find most surprising about the United States. Follow us on: Twitter: https://twitter.com/list25 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/list25 Website: http://list25.com Instagram: https://instagram.com/list25/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/list25/ Check out the physical list at - http://list25.com/25-things-that-visitors-will-find-most-surprising-about-the-united-states/ If you're planning to visit the United States, you might be surprised by things like: People almost never carry cash. Payments are usually debit or credit. If you are from Europe this won't surprise you, but parents can be arrested for physically punishing their children Your credit score is extremely important and not just for getting a loan. Even (government) jobs will sometimes check on it. Tipping happens a lot. If you're going out to eat or getting a haircut get ready to flex your algebra muscles! Prices. The U.S. price tags don't include taxes, so what you see on the tag is not necessarily what you pay at the register. This may confuse some visitors. People actually drive within their lanes. Ok, this is pretty common in Europe too, but if you're coming from Asia or Africa get ready to witness the wonder. The country is huge and there is virtually no public transport. This is a symptom of the Wild West mentality. It's up to you to find your own way around. Poorer people are usually more obese than richer people. Once again this stems from the Wild West mentality. Health is not seen as a societal issue but an individual issue. As a result, poor people will have less access to and knowledge of health related topics. With some exceptions, cities look the same, suburbs look the same, and everything is zoned. Don't expect your suburban neighborhood to be full of cool stores, boutiques, or bars. (Though we have to admit, this is a trend that is changing) Piggybacking on the last point (and the one about public transport), if you do happen to want to go to a restaurant or a store you will absolutely, categorically need a car…unless you live in a big city. Portion sizes are beyond massive. Coupled with the car culture it is easy to see why obesity is more prevalent than in other parts of the world The government has much less say in your life than in other countries and there is far less regulation of food, health, family life, education etc. Guns! Yes, this is a prime example of the last point. It is insanely easy for you to purchase a gun. But no, most Americans have never been in or seen a gun battle. The country is safer than the news would suggest. Drive-throughs are everywhere. In fact, there are even drive through pharmacies! Once again, more convenience is offset by less health. The US is one of the only developed nations without public healthcare. Once again, this reflects the "no government" philosophy. Each person is seen as being responsible for making enough money to fund their health. Everything, including healthcare, is earned. Everything is big. Houses are big, food is big, stores are big, cars are big, the country is big. and more... If you visit the United States, you might just experience a little bit of culture shock, but that's not necessarily a bad thing is it? Talking about shocks, check out these lists for other cool and shocking stuff: 25 Coolest Roads And Drives Around The World - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RW9EdA1NGYE&list=PL3Ikn3SKdJHgnTKi4Fy65KWOwbban6fym&index=54 and 25 Scary Bridges You'll Have To See To Believe - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OIHRh6dto8&list=PL3Ikn3SKdJHgnTKi4Fy65KWOwbban6fym&index=27

Amazing and Interesting Facts about United States of AMERICA (USA) in Hindi 2018 अमेरिका के तथ्य/राज

05:22
Amazing and Interesting Facts about United States of AMERICA (USA) in Hindi 2018 अमेरिका के तथ्य/राज The United States of America (USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S.) or America, is a federal republic composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions. At 3.8 million square miles (9.8 million km2) and with over 325 million people, the United States is the world's third- or fourth-largest country by total area, and the third-most populous. The capital is Washington, D.C., and the largest city by population is New York City. Forty-eight states and the capital's federal district are contiguous and located in North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwest corner of North America, bordered by Canada to the east and across the Bering Strait from Russia to the west. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific Ocean. The U.S. territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, stretching across nine official time zones. The extremely diverse geography, climate, and wildlife of the United States make it one of the world's 17 megadiverse countries. Paleo-Indians migrated from Asia to the North American mainland at least 15,000 years ago. European colonization began in the 16th century. The United States emerged from the thirteen British colonies established along the East Coast. Numerous disputes between Great Britain and the colonies following the French and Indian War led to the American Revolution, which began in 1775, and the subsequent Declaration of Independence in 1776. The war ended in 1783 with the United States becoming the first country to gain independence from a European power. The current constitution was adopted in 1788, with the first ten amendments, collectively named the Bill of Rights, being ratified in 1791 to guarantee many fundamental civil liberties. The United States embarked on a vigorous expansion across North America throughout the 19th century, acquiring new territories, displacing Native American tribes, and gradually admitting new states until it spanned the continent by 1848.During the second half of the 19th century, the Civil War led to the abolition of slavery.] By the end of the century, the United States had extended into the Pacific Ocean, and its economy, driven in large part by the Industrial Revolution, began to soar.] The Spanish–American War and World War I confirmed the country's status as a global military power. The United States emerged from World War II as a global superpower, the first country to develop nuclear weapons, the only country to use them in warfare, and a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. During the Cold War, the United States and the Soviet Union competed in the Space Race, culminating with the 1969 moon landing. The end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 left the United States as the world's sole superpower. The United States is a founding member of the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Organization of American States (OAS), and other international organizations. The United States is a highly developed country, with the world's largest economy by nominal GDP and second-largest economy by PPP, accounting for approximately a quarter of global GDP.The U.S. economy is the fastest-growing in the Americas, and is largely post-industrial, characterized by the dominance of services and knowledge-based activities, although the manufacturing sector remains the second-largest in the world.Though its population is only 4.3% of the world total, the U.S. holds 33.4% of the total wealth in the world, the largest share of global wealth concentrated in a single country. The United States ranks among the highest nations in several measures of socioeconomic performance, including average wage.human development, per capita GDP, and productivity per person. The U.S. is the foremost military power in the world, making up a third of global military spending, and is a leading political, cultural, and scientific force internationally. Zero Skateboards - United States of Whatever Tour | Episode 3 - BAM'S HOUSE!

04:32
With a van full of mid-to-late 20 year old dudes, a trip to Bam Margera's house is better than Disneyland. From Jackass to Viva La Bam to all of his video parts, this house has some history. The fact that it was during Bam's birthday was the icing on the cake. And Tancowny's butt-naked carve... it'd be insulting not to. The crew goes wild deep into the night, skating Bam's barn, laying down tracks in the CKY studio, and touring that infamous house we all grew up watching. The hijinx continue in our 4th and final episode, coming tomorrow. About the 'United States of Whatever' tour: Just around this time last year, the Zero team set out on an ambitious road trip in their 12-year-old, 15-passenger van---cargo trailer in tow---preparing for the longest Zero tour to date: 36 days, 29 demos/events, and nearly 10,000 miles covered. The goal was to meet up with shops, do some demos, link up with some Zero fans across the US and in between it all, stack some clips for the upcoming Zero video, Damn It All. **Big shout out to Weedmaps for supporting the tour for these dudes. The Dark Truth About the History of the United States of America

01:00:50
The Untold History of the United States (also known as Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States) is a 2012 documentary series directed, produced, and narrated by Oliver Stone. Stone is the director and narrator of all ten episodes. The series is a reexamination of some of the underreported and darkest parts of American modern history, using little-known documents and newly uncovered archival material. The series looks beyond official versions of events to the deeper causes and implications and explores how events from the past still have resonant themes for the present day. Stone said, "From the outset I've looked at this project as a legacy to my children and a way to understand the times I've lived through. I hope it can contribute to a more global insight into our American history."[7] The first three episodes of the series premiered at the New York Film Festival on October 6, 2012, with Indiewire describing them as "extremely compelling" and "daring."[8] The series was personally presented by Stone at the Subversive Festival on May 4, 2013, in Zagreb, Croatia, which next to film screenings also included debates and public lectures by prominent intellectuals such as Slavoj Žižek and Tariq Ali.[9] Stone described the project as "the most ambitious thing I've ever done. Certainly in documentary form, and perhaps in fiction, feature form."[10] Production took four years to complete. Stone confessed, "It was supposed to take two years, but it's way over schedule".[11] The premiere was finally set for November 12, 2012.[12] Stone spent $1 million of his own money on the film as the budget inflated from $3 million to $5 million.[13] The series premiered on Showtime in November 2012. The executive producers were Oliver Stone, Tara Tremaine and Rob Wilson. A book by the same name was also published. The Untold History of the United States was released on Blu-ray on October 15, 2013. All ten episodes of the show are featured on four discs, and the Blu-ray release also includes various bonus content, as well as two prologue episodes. The first prologue episode deals with World War I, the Russian Revolution and Woodrow Wilson. The second prologue episode highlights the pre-World War II era of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin.[14][15] The series was released on DVD on March 4, 2014.[16] The series is currently available for streaming on Netflix. The ten-part series is supplemented by a 750-page companion book, The Untold History of the United States, also written by Stone and Kuznick, released on Oct 30, 2012 by Simon & Schuster.[17] Kuznick objected to the working title "Secret History", claiming that "the truth is that many of our 'secrets' have been hidden on the front page of the New York Times. If people think the secrets will be deep, dark conspiracies, they'll be disappointed. We'll be drawing on the best recent scholarship".[18] It was subsequently retitled The Untold History of the United States. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Untold_History_of_the_United_States

United States

The United States of America (commonly referred to as the United States, the U.S., the USA, or America) is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North America, where its forty-eight contiguous states and Washington, D.C., the capital district, lie between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The state of Alaska is in the northwest of the continent, with Canada to its east and Russia to the west across the Bering Strait. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific. The country also possesses several territories, or insular areas, in the Caribbean and Pacific. At 3.79 million square miles (9.83 million km²) and with about 306 million people, the United States is the third or fourth largest country by total area, and third largest by land area and by population. The United States is one of the worlds most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries. The U.S. economy is the largest national economy in the world, with an estimated 2016 gross domestic product (GDP) of US$18.57 trillion (23% of the world total based on nominal GDP and almost 21% at purchasing power parity). The nation was founded by thirteen colonies of Great Britain located along the Atlantic seaboard. On July 4, 1776, they issued the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed their independence from Great Britain and their formation of a cooperative union. The rebellious states defeated Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War, the first successful colonial war of independence.[17] The Philadelphia Convention adopted the current United States Constitution on September 17, 1787; its ratification the following year made the states part of a single republic with a strong central government. The Bill of Rights, comprising ten constitutional amendments guaranteeing many fundamental civil rights and freedoms, was ratified in 1791.
